Kingpins works on display at BLACK BOX WHITE CUBE exhibition, The Arts Centre Melbourne. From the 11th of June till the 25th of September. The exhibition shows how music and dance, staged photography and film, theatricality and the spectacle of performance infuse vitality into contemporary Australian art. Beth Ditto as Azaria Chamberlain. The Kingpins were asked to make a work for the Demolition Party of the Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris curated by La Clique. Instead of performing we decided to costume performer Beth Ditto in the Tasmanian Tiger Pelt and Crochet tube dress from the Azaria lives collection.
